To stay healthy, it is recommended that adults should try to be active daily and should aim each week to do 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) of moderate-intensity activity or, 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes) of vigorous-intensity activity. By meeting the recommended levels of physical activity your risk of heart disease, stroke and type 2-diabetes can be reduced by up to 50%. Regular physical activity can also improve your confidence and quality of life.
